Episode 187 | Help for Angry Parents
Does it just push your buttons having to address your child’s same misbehaviors over and over again? Are the people you love most the ones who suffer the brunt of your anger? Are you looking to overcome that destructive sin in your life? Join Katy and me for another edition of ‘“Ask Ginger” (also known as Q & A Day) as we discuss how parents can get to the heart of their own anger and turn to the Word of God to help take it captive.
We have a brand new episode of the Parenting with Ginger Hubbard podcast available today. Here’s a little more about what you can expect:
Episode 187 | Help for Angry Parents: We cannot control the actions of others or some of the frustrations of life, but we can be willing to check our own hearts and take ownership for our sinful responses. When we take our angry emotions to the Lord, he sanctifies our perspective and our response. He moves us to a heart posture that puts the best interest and well-being of our children above our own selfish desires. He reminds us that our children’s struggle with sin brings us precious opportunities to point them to the atoning work and rescuing help of Jesus. Keeping that eternal perspective keeps us from being ineffective and unproductive, not just in our parenting, but in our own spiritual maturity and knowledge of our Lord.
